Egerton Social Housing

Egerton Parish Council is not a landlord for housing but has worked with Ashford Borough Council and other organisations to help identify local social housing needs and suitable housing sites. If you wish to be considered you must apply for social housing (external link) from Ashford Borough Council.

Chantlers Meadow

Bedlam Lane, Egerton Forstal

Built by English Rural Housing (external link) in 2011

These homes are for local people who meet the criteria for Egerton residency and Ashford Borough Councils Housing Register. There are 6 rental properties and two shared ownership properties.

Harmers Way

Social and affordable housing is provided by Sanctuary Housing (external link) at Harmers Way for local people who meet the criteria for Egerton residency and Ashford Borough Councils Housing Register.

Council Housing

Council Housing is located at Elm Close, New Road, Crocken Hill Road and Forstal Villas.

Ashford Borough Council aims for half of the properties to be occupied by Egerton residents.  The Haven bungalows in Elm Close are for people aged over 55. Although the priority is for Egerton residents, the timing of villagers’ needs does not always coincide with a vacant property.
